ServiceNow integration August 2025 release notes

We’re excited to announce the August 2025 update to 1E’s ServiceNow integrated suite, designed to help our customers continue driving automation, visibility, and control within their environments..

This release includes updates across three applications, focusing on enhanced flexibility, performance, data integration, and improved alignment with ServiceNow best practices.

Versions of ServiceNow applications

The following applications are now compatible with the ServiceNow Yokohama release:

  • 1E Core 4.0.31

  • Service Graph Connector for 1E 4.0.30

  • 1E ITSM Connect 6.1.22

1E Core 4.0.31

  • Instruction timeout fields: We have added the Instruction TTL Minutes (Time-to-Live) and Response TTL Minutes fields to the Instruction Definition table. These fields can be configured by users with the x_1e_core_connect.admin role.

  • Improved logging and diagnostics: We have added the following new system properties:

    • x_1e_core_connect.logging.verbosity: Enables debug-level logging.

    • x_1e_core_connect.logging.destination: Controls log output destination.

    • Additional log statements have been added across the app for better traceability.

  • Token handling improvements: More accurate expiry handling in modernAuthUtils.

1E ITSM Connect 6.1.22

  • Configurable retry message: You can now customize the instruction retry message using the new system property x_1e_connect.retryMessage. The message dynamically reflects the Instructions TTL and Response TTL, providing clearer user feedback when actions take longer than expected. We have added these new fields Instruction TTL Minutes and Response TTL Minutes to the Instruction Definition table. These fields are editable by admin users and are included in the default form layout. Refer to Configurable retry message for the instructions and Managing instruction retry message.

  • Asynchronous API execution: Instruction related API calls now run asynchronously, enhancing system responsiveness and reducing operational delays.

  • Feature control by category/subcategory: You can now restrict 1E ITSM Connect features based on incident category and subcategory in both Native and Service Operations Workspace. This functionality is managed through the system property x_1e_connect.enable_itsm_category_subcategory. Refer to Enable ITSM Connect feature based on Category and Subcategory.

  • Look-up user asset on custom user fields: The look-up user asset pop-up (previously available on Caller ID) now works with any user reference field. Add the dictionary attribute x_1e_connect_user_related_ci to enable this functionality. Refer to Assigning devices to CI selector.

  • Minor enhancements:

    • Drop-down menu support for PEM Certificate and JWT Provider selection.

    • Label change: Application ID (Client Assertion certificate) has been changed to App ID.

    • Property name updated: x_1e_connect.wait_time has been changed to x_1e_connect.wait_time_seconds.

    • Clarified property usage: x_1e_connect.does_cmdb_ci_table_contains_fqdn.

    • Enhanced UI styling for error messages.
