Deploying 1E Client

Platform client features are provided by the 1E Client, including client modules for Content Distribution, PXE Everywhere Agent, Shopping/WSA, and WakeUp. As part of your Platform requirements planning you will have reviewed the 1E Client requirements and made some decisions based on your organization's needs. Refer to 1E Client requirements.

In addition, as part of the provisioning process you will now have the following:

• An installer command-line:  That installs the 1E Client for use with your Platform instance. You will need to get the correct installer for the 1E Client and deploy that to all the devices you intend to manage with your Platform, using the provided command-line and the deployment tool of your choice.

• A .PEM containing your organisation's Certificate Authority trust chain: Supplied to help secure your Platform instance against connections from untrusted parties. The Platform will only trust a 1E Client device if it presents a trusted certificate from the same CA. So any device you want to manage with the Platform must have the 1E Client installed and be provisioned with a certificate from your private key infrastructure.
