TeamViewer DEX 26.11 release notes

This release includes enhancements and fixes for the Platform and Solutions.

TeamViewer DEX for mobile (Android)

Customers can now extend TeamViewer DEX visibility to Android devices with TeamViewer DEX for Mobile, available for TeamViewer DEX Enterprise customers. Built on the same DEX platform used to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints, Mobile DEX enables organizations to view mobile device health and insights alongside their existing endpoint estate through a single console.

Key capabilities include:

  • Hardware and software inventory

  • Battery health and usage insights

  • Memory, storage, and device health metrics

  • Network performance and connectivity visibility

  • Application inventory and usage analytics

  • Location telemetry (where enabled)

  • Historical telemetry and troubleshooting insights

  • Unified visibility across desktop and mobile devices

The Android application will be distributed through your organisation's Managed Google Play Store and to be deployed using your existing MDM/UEM solution, allowing organizations to onboard devices using established mobile management workflows.

Mobile DEX complements existing MDM investments by adding Digital Employee Experience insights and diagnostics without replacing device management capabilities.

Licensing

TeamViewer DEX for Mobile (Android) is available as part of existing Enterprise device license. For activation, customers should first contact their CSM team, as the Android App will not be available publicly on the Google Play store.

Enhancements and fixes

Summary

Enhancement

Inventory Insights

PLAT-34359

We improved the normalization rules for software inventory so that more software titles are fully normalized. Before, a title with a normalized vendor and product name could stay only partially matched if its version didn't line up exactly with the curated catalog version. Now, titles with a clean, numeric version are fully normalized and return the reported version, which makes Software Reclaim results more accurate and reliable.

Fix

Investigations

PLAT-36756

We fixed an issue in the new UI where scheduling an instruction checked the selected date and time against the device's local time zone instead of UTC. Valid future UTC times were sometimes rejected with the error Date should be in the future. Scheduled times are now validated in UTC, as the UI states.

Fix

Client

PLAT-30451

We fixed a security issue in the 1E Client where the Inventory.QueryColdStorage method accepted raw SQL commands without proper validation. Cold storage queries now run on read-only database connections, so the method can no longer create or change tables.

Fix

Platform

PLAT-30683

We fixed an issue that could prevent instruction records from appearing in the audit log.

Fix

Platform

PLAT-35788

We fixed an issue that could cause synchronous instruction delivery to fail in tenants with large numbers of Management Groups.
