Using the WakeUp console

Configure and manage WakeUp using the WakeUp console, including server connections, Agent settings, wake-up behavior, communications, logging, and network discovery. This guide explains how to configure WakeUp, manage Agents and subnets, monitor wake-up activity, and review Configuration Manager deployment statistics.

Configuration is managed from the WakeUp Console (started from the WakeUp program group on the Start menu). Configuration options vary depending on whether you are using Configuration Manager or NightWatchman Management Center.

Configuration consists of:

  • Connecting to the WakeUp server.

  • Setting the behavior of the Agents. Refer to General.

  • Setting the level of detail for the log file. Refer to Logging/Control.

  • Adding bespoke wake up events. Refer to Advanced.

  • Discovering Agents. Refer to Agent Finder.

  • Setting the communication protocols between the Agents and the WakeUp server. Refer to Communications.

  • Setting the behavior of magic packets. Refer to WakeUp Packets.

  • Setting an exclusion (only available in Configuration Manager mode). Refer to Exclusions.

  • Viewing and modifying Agents. Refer to Agent Finder.
