1E for Software Reclaim
This release introduces a new solution named 1E for Software Reclaim, designed to streamline software usage, identify saving opportunities, and enforce reclamation rules efficiently. Empowering organizations to optimize their software assets, this release focuses on maximizing resource utilization and cost-effectiveness. 1E for Software Reclaim provides comprehensive visibility of an organization’s software estate with a key focus on usage. This release also provides greater visibility to personas by allowing administrators to see software usage categorized by departments.
1E for Software Reclaim includes the following features:
- Software Usage: Provides comprehensive visibility of your organization’s software estate and is categorized as follows:
- Reclamation Rules: Allows you to deploy reclamation rules to efficiently uninstall software from devices. 1E for Software Reclaim offers three types of reclamation rules:
- Do not Uninstall: No uninstall changes are executed.
- Optional Uninstall: The end user would be alerted that their software administrator wants to uninstall a piece of software. The end user can provide reasoning for why they want to keep the software or if they are happy to proceed with an uninstall.
- Mandatory Uninstall: Administrators have full autonomy in uninstalling a piece of software without involving the end user.
- Rule History: Understanding the history of your reclamation rules and the status.
- Cost Savings: Generate cost savings by making informed software retention and removal decisions via deploying reclamation rules.
