AppClarity installer properties

Learn about the installer properties for setting up AppClarity in the 1E Platform. This guide explains each option to help you automate and tailor your software asset management deployment. A table of the Windows installer properties for the AppClarity installer.

1E Server setup is the only supported method of installing, upgrading, and patching a 1E server. Installation using standalone msi or msp files is not supported unless advised by 1E, which may be necessary in complex installations, using non-interactive (quiet/silent) command-lines, and may require further post-install configuration steps.

Mandatory properties must be provided when installing using a command-line.

You can connect either using HTTP or HTTPS. In either case, the URL will be based on the settings made on the Website Configuration screen of the 1E Setup program. Refer to Website configuration.

For example, if your 1E server FQDN is ACME-TCN01.ACME.LOCAL and your 1E DNS alias is TACHYON.ACME.LOCAL, and these have been configured as the host headers on the Website Configuration screen of the 1E Setup program, then either of the following URLs can be used:

  • http://ACME-TCN01.ACME.LOCAL

  • https://TACHYON.ACME.LOCAL

If you have specified a custom port on the Website Configuration screen of the 1E Setup program, then this should also be added to the URLs. For example:

  • http://ACME-TCN01.ACME.LOCAL:8080

  • https://TACHYON.ACME.LOCAL:8443

The URL used to access the 1E Portal. This must be set to a valid URL for 1E "https://Tachyon.acme.local" (https://<alias>.<domain>)
