Announcements

Long-Term Service Branch (LTSB) update: 1E Windows Client

To reinforce our commitment to enterprise stability and adaptability, we are releasing the next Long-Term Service Branch (LTSB) version of the 1E Windows Client with the May 2025 (25.5) release.

Each LTSB version is supported for 18 months. During this period, 1E will provide critical security and stability fixes, but no new feature updates. All new features introduced during the year will be bundled into the next annual LTSB release.

Customers who prefer to benefit from the latest innovations, our regular bi-monthly release cadence remains available, delivering continuous feature enhancements and updates.

This approach ensures customers can choose a deployment strategy that aligns with their business needs. Whether the priority is maintaining a highly stable endpoint environment or adopting the latest features as they become available. Either option allows customers to continue receiving the full value of the 1E Platform and the Digital Employee Experience (DEX).

Refer to Long-Term Service Branch (LTSB).

The 1E Client now uses Microsoft Visual C/C++ Runtime Library (MSVCRT) version 14.42.34438.0. If a device has an older version installed, it may cause other services that depend on the runtime library to restart during the 1E Client installation process.

Virtual Desktop Experience (VDX): Citrix Cloud support

We are excited to introduce support for Citrix Cloud support in this release of Virtual Desktop Experience (VDX). This enhancement significantly expands VDX capabilities to Citrix Cloud environments, providing VDI administrators and digital workplace teams with comprehensive visibility and management tools for Citrix Cloud deployments.

Refer to Virtual Desktop Experience (VDX).

Key features:

  • Enhanced metrics and visibility:

    • Provides visibility into key performance indicators such as average round-trip time, logon duration, and session reliability.

    • Extends the VDX Score to include metrics specific to Citrix Cloud environments.

  • User Sessions dashboard:

    • Updates the User Sessions dashboard to include Citrix Cloud-specific metrics.

    • Allows for a detailed analysis of user sessions, including roundtrip, performance, logon breakdown, user history, and virtual applications.

  • Infrastructure overview and alerting:

    • Offers end-to-end visibility of key infrastructure components, including Store Fronts, Delivery Controllers, and Databases.

    • Provides automatic infrastructure alerts.

To activate VDX Citrix Cloud support, please contact your professional services or customer success contact for assistance.

Scheduled instructions and full-screen instruction experience in the new platform

We continue bringing enhanced Endpoint Troubleshooting functionality to the new platform UI, including the following:

  • Full-screen instruction configuration: Previously, we added a new method of quickly running instructions from device pillars and device lists in the new UI. In this release, we’re augmenting this with a new full-screen experience for more advanced configuration, including scheduling, and altering coverage. This new interface is accessible by first searching for an instruction in the UI and provides every configuration option available in the existing Endpoint Troubleshooting app.

  • Scheduling instructions: Users can now schedule instructions in the new UI. After searching for an instruction, users can select it and configure scheduling options, such as run frequency, start time, and whether to align execution with local device time. All scheduled instructions can be reviewed on the new Scheduled page, accessible from the left-hand navigation bar. Refer to Running Instructions and viewing Instruction History.

Reclaim: Relevant Licensable Software list

Users can now directly manage and view a list of relevant software from the dashboard.

Dashboard enhancements:

  • Introduction of a Relevant Licensable Software feature that optimizes dashboard performance by focusing on licensable software marked as relevant.

  • Filters for licensable and non-licensable software to streamline user experience.

  • Users can now mark software titles as non-relevant, moving them to a separate list. Refer to Savings Opportunities.

Solution Settings:

  • New configuration options for managing relevant and non-relevant software lists in Solution Settings. Refer to Using Software Reclaim.
