Inventory Insights navigation update
As part of our continued investment in technology and infrastructure, logging into the 1E Platform and selecting Inventory Insights will take you to a refactored application, splitting the functionality into Devices and Software areas in a new left-hand navigation bar. The functionality remains the same for now, but stay tuned for upcoming enhancements as we continue to improve the experience. Refer to Inventory Insights.

Patch Insights: Usability enhancements
We are excited to announce the latest enhancements to Patch Insight, focusing on improving usability and efficiency for our users. This release includes the following key updates:

Enhanced error code visibility: Users can now view error codes for patch deployment failures directly from the device screen, in addition to the patches screen. This change facilitates quicker diagnosis and resolution of issues, enhancing the overall user experience. Refer to 1E Patch Insights features.

Accurate patch redirection: Patches now redirect users to the correct support pages, providing easy access to detailed information about each patch. This enhancement streamlines the process of gathering patch information, saving time and reducing confusion. Refer to Patch Insights.
Operational Safeguards: Rule Approval v2
In our 24.11 release, the 1E Platform introduced safeguarding Enhancements to Rule Approval. Version 24.11 focused on visibility and the impact of rule revisions within 1E Endpoint Automation. Admins can now gauge the impact of changes and make informed decisions before they approve or reject rule requests.
Version 24.12 introduces further safeguarding enhancements to rules. Administrators now have access to the following new features and improvements:

Admins are now required to provide a reason for any rule revision, giving other administrators clearer context to evaluate and decide on changes. Refer to Defining your own policies.

UI enhancements to show changes which are not only Deployed but Approved, Pending Approved, or Pending Deployment. Refer to Rule Approval.

Updated rules are now ordered by ModifiedDateTimeStamp in descending order, meaning that the latest rule created will appear at the top.

The 1E Client has not been updated in this release. Please continue to use the installers that were released as part of the 24.11 release. Refer to Client in 1E Platform 24.11 release notes.

Executive Dashboards deprecation from 25.1
As of the 1E Platform 25.1 release, the Dashboards module, including the Executive Dashboard, will no longer be available in the 1E Platform. These features have been consolidated into the new Business Impact solution (available today), which offers expanded reporting and analytics capabilities.
To access Business Impact, as well as other reporting features such as SaaS Data Access and API access, please reach out to your account team for assistance.
